ABM School of Ballet:
Many youngsters start with ABM School of Ballet at the age of 4 or 5 and then stay until they go to university and ballet becomes their absorbing hobby. Others go on to become professional dancers and teachers, and over the years ex-students have gone to Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, UoB, The Hammond School in Chester, Arts Educational School and Central School.
The highlight of the dancing year is the annual performance and at the end of the evening show there is always one who will ask the inevitable question “What are we doing next year?”
April Martin, likes her students to enjoy their classes and provides opportunities for keen dancers to do extra classes and also to try contemporary dance and recently street dance. She organises a dance showcase Energise every year for dance schools and groups across the county to perform and share with others. This is now in its 15th year, is a sell out event and the number of schools, dancers & performances increases every year.
Tutors who work with and for ABM School of Ballet are all qualified teachers including DBS checks and Prevent training. April Martin continues to teach all the ballet classes, this way she gets to know her students and they her. ABM School of Ballet is a very creative organisation that continues to develop and nurture youth talent in a supportive learning/training environment.
